Lurking on the edge of sweet-toeing-the-line and sass-queen, singer-songwriter Alana-Lee is no wholesome wall-flower. A religious childhood in Fiji followed by teen rebellion and adult adventuring have allowed the balanced Sydneysider a unique perspective of the light and dark side of life, which she stirs into her songs as an invitation to see the world through a bigger lens.
Alana-Lee’s alluring and bewitching production sounds add another dimension to the traditional female piano singer-songwriter as her singles Black Chemistry (Oct 2020), Escape Act (Dec 2020) and Weeds (June 2021) defy through their moody percussive rhythms, meandering hooky melodies and enticing vocals.
This new sound sees her tracks being played by Double J, 4ZZZ, Radio Adelaide, VoxFM, Edge Radio and Fine Music Sydney.
Her debut EP, Freedom In The Fall, was released in November 2016 with songs Walking For Water, Russian Doll and Freedom In The Fall also supported by Community Radio.
A new live streamer and experimental home studio producer, Alana-Lee releases her next single in 2024.
Alana-Lee supports Australian artists on tour with her original music and is often booked for corporate covers entertainment where she puts an original spin on old classics. She was recently booked for the NSW Australian of The Year Awards Ceremony at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Sydney. You may also find her singing in the corner of little suburban wine bars as a soloist or with a guitarist.
